Hi, I'm Carson Bates. I'm a middle schooler who likes programming and making games in Godot. This website is mainly to put stuff that I've made (portfolio-style I guess), and maybe I'll have a blog at some point. Cheers!
Stuff I've done
I'm one of the programmers for the middle school game programming team Epimetheus Games.

- Eyesore and Project Prometheus: Open source games I've made along with a few freinds. (New game coming 2025-2026! I'm hoping to put it on steam this time).
- Titan: Unfinished python game engine which uses Raylib and Pymunk.
- ProceduralPlanets: Port of Sebatian Lague's amazing procedural planets simulation to Godot.
- gl-2d: Working on a graphics library for OpenGL.
- Played Will You Snail.
Stuff I haven't done
Time for some more bullet points. Hopefully I can fill this up more in the future.
- I haven't done *real* web development. I don't plan to either. This website is made without any JS (LOL).
- I haven't made a compiler ever, but I want to.
- Make 100 blog posts 🤔.
Below are some more serious projects that I have in mind for the far future, which I have been inspired to create. Yes this is the only place I'm using to keep track of my future projects, I've yet to find an organized place to keep notes.
- Full-scale 3D traffic simulation
- Publish a game on Steam with my friends
- Make a cool Godot C++ module extension (multi user?)
- Fully accurate VR ping pong simulation
